As Tough As It Gets

During last winter I had the opportunity to get to know our new hardwearing Arktis Parka better. It is a hardcore winter jacket that we made for the challenging and harsh conditions of the Arctic region. Let me try to describe it to you.
If I should explain the new Arktis Parka in one word, it would be TOUGH! Why? Well to start with, on Arktis parka we have united two of our most resistant materials, G-1000 and VinylonF (famous from our Kånken backpack). This mix makes this parka nearly indestructible. The Vinylon F reinforcements are placed where abrasion resistance and water protection are needed most: elbow, front body, and bottom back.
With the high quality goose down filling and the wind resistant capabilities Arktis parka kept me warm when the temperature dropped out on the ices outside my hometown Örnsköldsvik.
I have to say that the snow lock placed at the bottom hem was also great when walking through very snowy areas. The big front pockets provided plenty of space for my gloves, a warm hat and even a 1 litre thermos flask.
All in all I would say that the Arktis Parka great for those low intense activities such as ice fishing or snowmobiling in the arctic winter.
Below you find the link to a short film that Andreas, who also is in love with this parka, made last winter.
