Spending time outdoors is not always about heading out with your tent staying out for days at a time. Sometimes a day hike can be just as relaxing. Or why not walk between some of the Swedis Tourist Associations many mountain cabins. For these occasions I developed the Friluft backpack.

During our winter education this spring we made a short moviea bout the backpack Friluft. Here is the result.

When I designed Friluft I aimed to make a backpack that was ventilating, comfortable and durable. That is why I placed an aluminium profile as frame. Adding a mesh, the air could circulate freely behind the back. To make it comfortable we cut ergonomically desinged shoulder straps with ventilation. We also made it slimmer by placing stretch pockets on the front and on the sides.

During my tours I have had great use of the elastic front pocket. The rip and tearstrength is received by the ripstop nylon. I have also strengthened the backpack on exposed areas, such as on the bottom. When I like to use a hydration system I also made Friluft compartible to those. As I sometimes use trekking poles but like to make it easy to tuck them away, I also added convenient attachments that does not block the access to the pockets. I added pockets on the lid so you can place smaller items in them.

Well, I hope you will like Friluft and this short instruction film.

Have a great weekend,
Henrik
